Elvis was pure sunshine in the form of a big red dog with a curly tail, long legs, and sweet brown eyes. He was a lover as well as a protector. He loved meeting new people, going to the vet, seeing old friends, and was always ready to go to a party. When he was happy to see you his whole body would wiggle. Everyone who met him loved him. He enjoyed life; slowly cruising around our property, visiting with barn kitties, sunbathing, sorting through the toy bucket, or enjoying every piece of his meal. He loved bones, and there was usually a pile of them around his food dish. He gave great hugs, loved relaxing on the couch, and helping in the kitchen. He saw no reason to rest on a hiking trail, that was the one place he did not take his time or even stop for a break. He had more than his share of physical ailments, but that never broke his spirit or his happiness. He was a survivor. We were blessed to know and love him for 14-years and will always miss having him in our lives.
